Community Shelter Services provides food and housing for our region’s homeless for approximately $50 per day, but we can’t do it without you.  Please consider giving a gift to help those that are less fortunate because everyone deserves a healthy, nutritious meal and a warm, safe place to rest at night.

This year alone, Community Shelter Services will assist more than two-thousand women, children and men who wouldn’t be able to make it on their own – but, we can’t do it without your help.

Become an advocate for the homeless.  Be a part of the solution and help someone start a new life!

Right now, far too many people who are homeless call our Emergency Shelter “home.”  Will you step up and make their stay a little brighter?  Please help us fulfill our mission of providing a community partnership that transforms lives by providing meals for the hungry, shelter for the homeless and services that support people to become housed.

Homelessness is extremely stressful on children.  Our Emergency Shelter provides a playroom (completely furnished by donations from the community), allowing a child to relax, read a book or play with a variety of toys, games and our recently donated Wii.  In 2010, our Emergency Shelter assisted more than 200 children and in today’s tough economy, that number continues to increase.  Please help these children have a bright tomorrow by donating to our “Kids of the Future H.E.L.P. Fund.”  This Fund provides financial assistance, or H.E.L.P. (Helping Erie’s children Living in Poverty), to homeless and at-risk children. 

Your Donation Dollars at Work.  Our “Kids of the Future H.E.L.P. Fund is proud to provide funding for College Application fees; summer camp tuition; healthy after-school snacks; school uniforms and shoes; fulfillling Birthday and Christmas Wish Lists; after-school activities and athletics; new bedding, mattresses and cribs; prescription eyeware;  medical expenses not covered by government funds; college books and laptops, and back to school haircuts.
